1 Who can apply for the incentive?
National and international production companies, studios, and audiovisual companies developing projects in the state of Sonora are eligible to apply. Independent productions are also eligible, provided they are formally registered and comply with the guidelines established in the Operating Rules.
2 What are the requirements to obtain the stimulus?

- Submit a detailed budget and filming plan in Sonora
- Check local investment (expenses made in the state)
- Hire Sonoran talent and suppliers
- Comply with all the technical and administrative criteria detailed in the Operating Rules (available for download)
3 How long does it take for the refund to be approved?
The evaluation and validation process can take between 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project and the documentation submitted. The Sonora Film Commission supports producers throughout each stage to expedite approval and ensure compliance with requirements.
